By visiting this website or purchasing any product — original paintings, prints, or spoken word recordings — you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All artwork, imagery, spoken word recordings, and written content on this site are the sole property of Jahnette Tucker and are protected by copyright law. This includes original paintings, prints, and any spoken word recordings in current or future form.

Purchasing any item does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, distribute, license, mint as an NFT, print for resale, or otherwise use the work commercially or publicly without express written permission from Jahnette Tucker.

Personal social media sharing of purchased items is warmly welcomed and does not violate these terms. For any other use, please email info@jahnettetucker.com.

2. Digital & Spoken Word Products

Spoken word recordings and digital files are sold for personal listening only. They may not be reproduced, redistributed, uploaded to streaming platforms, used in video content, or shared publicly in any form without written permission.

Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of spoken word recordings are final and non-refundable once the file has been accessed or downloaded.

3. Original Artwork

Each original painting is a one-of-a-kind piece sold as-is. Photographs on the website are taken to represent color and detail as accurately as possible; however, colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. If you have questions about a specific piece, email info@jahnettetucker.com before purchasing.

Once an original leaves the studio, we are not responsible for damage resulting from mishandling by the buyer. Compensation or replacement is only available for damage that occurs in transit or for items with a verified defect at the time of shipment.

4. Prints

Every print is inspected before shipment. We are not liable for prints that are damaged due to customer mishandling after delivery (e.g., tearing, smudging, bending). All print sizes include borders, which are part of the final listed dimensions — please review product descriptions carefully prior to purchase.

If your print arrives damaged or defective, please email info@jahnettetucker.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage so we can make it right.

5. Returns & Refunds

We want every collector to love what they receive. If something is wrong with your order, please email us — we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Returns are accepted for defective or incorrectly shipped items only. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item was damaged in transit or the wrong item was sent. Refunds are issued upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.

We do not accept returns for original artwork or digital/spoken word products.

6. Shipping & Processing

All orders ship from Virginia. Processing times are 3–5 business days and are listed in each product description. Occasional delays may occur during high-volume periods.

If you need to update your shipping address, email info@jahnettetucker.com within 24 hours of purchase. We cannot redirect packages after they have shipped.

Jahnette Tucker is not responsible for undelivered packages resulting from an incorrect address provided at checkout.

7. International Orders & Duties

Customers outside the United States are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by their country. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost and are determined by your local customs agency.

If you refuse delivery and the item is returned in its original condition, we will refund the purchase price minus shipping costs. All items are declared at their full purchase value for export. We will not falsify customs documents under any circumstances.

8. Commissions

Custom commission terms are discussed and agreed upon individually prior to the start of work. Deposits paid for commissioned pieces are non-refundable once the creative process has begun. Final payment is due prior to shipment.

All commissioned artwork remains the intellectual property of Jahnette Tucker, including the right to photograph and share the work as part of her portfolio.

9. Limitation of Liability

Jahnette Tucker's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the item in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
